Abdulmuiz Ajibola Adekomi
Biography
Abdulmuiz is an M.S. student in the Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering at UT Austin. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He has been working with Professor Ryosuke Okuno since 2022 on CCUS projects. His current research focuses on developing efficient and optimized solvents and processes/pathways for capturing and storing CO2 to achieve carbon neutrality.
Prior to arriving at UT, he worked for the national oil company in Nigeria and some private companies in developing various energy assets. Outside work, he is an active team lead and member of non-profit organizations that have successfully delivered SDG-themed projects that benefit underserved communities.
