CO2 Nanobubble

This project is to develop technologies of aqueous nanobubble (NB) dispersion of CO2 for geological carbon sequestration and conventional/unconventional oil reservoirs. We aim to maximize CO2 storage capacity while activating reliable trapping mechanisms, such as solubility trapping and mineralization [e.g., in basaltic formations], in a controllable manner. The research activities in both laboratory and modeling will enhance understanding and scale up of these processes.
